Buganda Land Board is involved in advocacy and Busuulu sensitization meetings with local leaders and District committees.

In a meeting held at the Butambala District Headquarters chaired by the Chief Administrative Officer for Butambala District, Ashaba Allan,Distict officers and  local leaders were sensitized on BLB Operations including Busuulu collection. Ashaba embraced the arrangement adding that it will help to address the leaders’ various concerns and to make clarifications regarding land eviction rumors in various parts of Buganda. He informed BLB officials there present that most of the Government offices in Butambala are situated on Kabaka’s land and hence needed guidance to regularize and secure their tenancy by acquiring leases.

Among concerns raised were the local council leaders and Kabaka’s chiefs who involve themselves in illegal land sales which tarnish the image of Buganda Kingdom. Areas most affected by such activities include; Bulo, Kibibi, Ng’ando and Budde in Butambala District on administration blocks, play grounds and community centers among others.
