Buganda Land Board participated in CBS fans club activities in Lugazi, Buganda Kingdom organized book show, and the Jinja agriculture show.

Throughout all these events, Buganda Land Board staff explained its different products and processes.

People were taught by Mr.Ntambi Abby, Mr.Mulindwa, Mr. Naserenga Edward, community mobilization officers with Buganda Land Board. The main topic of discussion was Kyapa mu Ngalo where the public was enlightened that the campaign was to help those who always wanted to get lease titles but were hindered by high premium costs. Kyapa mu Ngalo cuts premium costs thus makes it easier to get titles on Kabaka’s land.

They then explained to them the advantages of having a land title which include; access to meaningful credit, ability to sublease, possibility to use their kibanja in joint investment ventures, mortgages, court surety, can get meaningful compensation from government during projects which are many in Buganda, protects them from evictions as it has been witnessed on a large scale. With a title those who wish to sell can sell their kibanja at a higher price than they would have sold without a title.
