Buganda Land Board and World Compliance Technologies have agreed to strengthen their ongoing Land Electronic Card partnership by introducing more security features on the cards and introduce mobile offices to ease the issuance of LE-Cards to clients especially those outside Kampala who have previously been required to come to Buganda Land Board's head office in order to get enrolled and issued with the cards.

The partnership was signed off today between World Compliance Technologies’ James Kiran and BLB Managing Director Owek. Kyewalabye-Male D. Mr. Kiran noted that this was a huge opportunity for the US-based company to strengthen their relations with the kingdom and promised to deliver on their promise of securing people’s tenancy.

What is the LE-Card?
The LE-Card is an electronic card that uses the Palm Vein Technology issued to tenants on Kabaka's land after they have registered their bibanja with Buganda Land Board.
Every tenant who gets registered goes through an enrolment process where their Palm Veins are captured before they are issued with the card. That card enables registered tenants to safely keep their land documents and avoid falling victim of fraud since no transaction can be effected without them physically presenting their palm as a form of consent or password.
