UNRA is in the process of starting road construction projects which have two different dynamics. The projects are, the Kiira-Matuga and Najjankumbi-Busabala.
The Kiira-Matugga project will have an urban design and there will be defacing of towns of Matugga especially and junction improvement and building of close to 9 junctions so as to ease the current traffic bottle necks in the morning and evening. The Najjanankumbi-Busabala will run from shell Kazzi to Busabala. There will also be a lot of junction improvements close to 9 junctions.
All these projects will run through Kabaka's and Buganda kingdom land and also affect his tenants. Therefore, Buganda Land Board will help UNRA through the process of acquisition and also help locals who are ceding their land and also provide information needed for this process to be a success. The BLB technical team will also help UNRA in terms of any technicalities and bottle necks they may find along the way in this project. UNRA pledged to ensure that all stakeholders including the Kabaka who are supposed to be compensated in these projects get compensated.
