On 18th November-2019, Buganda Land Board started a campaign to collect busuulu including arrears from people living on Buganda Kingdom land. The campaign is taking place in all Buganda Kingdom counties.

What happens in the campaign?

Buganda Land Board staff move door to door making busuulu assessments plus collecting busuulu from those who readily have it available.

As per this week, over 30,000 assessments have been handed out to people. The campaign is ongoing and will end on 31st December-2019.

Why paying busuulu matters.

Paying busuulu is the cheapest way a kibanja holder can safe guard their kibanja against land grabbers. So, every kibanja holder should take it upon themselves to pay busuulu to avoid any future eviction.
