Buganda Land Board's MD Owek. Kyewalabye-Male. D and his team took part in a meeting between Buganda's delegation and officials from the World Bank and IMF. Katikkiro Charles Peter Mayiga and Omulangira Wasajja led the delegation. In their meeting, pertinent issues concerning the socio-economic transfomation of Buganda were discussed, majorly land issues, and Owek.Kyewalabye-Male explained the importance of registered land in the transfomation of people's livelihoods.

Before meeting the World Bank and IMF officials, the BLB team first met Uganda's Ambassador to the US H.E. Mule Ssegujja Katende and his deputy Amb. Santa M. Laker at Uganda's US embassy in Washington D.C. Wakiso district chairman Matia Lwanga Bwanika was also part of the meeting.
