Buganda Land Board is one of the entities chosen by the ministry of Lands, Housing and Urban Development to represent Uganda at its exhibition stall at the ongoing 10th session of the World Urban Forum in Abu Dhabi, UAE; convened by the UN Human Settlements Programme which has brought together thousands of stakeholders to share practices and knowledge on how cities are built, planned and Managed.
At the forum which started on 8th February-2020 themed "Cities of Opportunities: Connecting Culture and Innovation; Buganda Land Board has shone by exhibiting how it is utilising Buganda Kingdom Land it manages to foster planned urbanisation and also preserving cultural sites on the land.

Buganda Land Board equally exhibited its upcoming projects especially the affordable housing project in Ssentema which will help the working class Ugandans to live in decent housing. The state minister for Housing and Urban Development in Uganda Hon. Isaac Musumba has applauded Buganda Land Board for its excellent exhibition and efforts to spur planned urbanisation.

What is World Urban Forum?
The world Urban Forum (WUF) is the world's Premier Conference on urban issues. It was established in 2001 by the United Nations to examine one of the most pressing issues facing the world today; rapid urbanisation and its impact on communities, cities, economies, climate change and policies.
